(1999): ERIC. EBSCO. WEB. 21 Apr. 2011 This survey examined alcohol and other drug use among full- and randomized undergraduate students from 18 colleges in New York State. Students completed questionnaires on demographics; working and living arrangements; academics; perceptions of campus substance squall policies; drinking behaviour and substance sophisticate patterns; and consequences of use. The study found that alcohol, tobacco, and marijuana were the crown substances used; 81 percent of students reported using alcohol, 46 percent used tobacco, and 34 percent used marijuana. This study supports past research findings blanket a high incidence of alcohol consumption among trade union and sorority members.
